Polypropylene fiber, rich source of raw materials, simple manufacturing process, and low cost. Because of its excellent performance, it can be used for clothing, decoration and industrial products, and has broad prospects in these three major fields.
In the various uses of polypropylene, the use of three-dimensional crimp fillers is more and more important, and we have a greater demand for three-dimensional crimped fibers, especially in the textile industry, where three-dimensional crimped fibers are used as fillers to make a large number of pillow cores and beds. Pads, covers, sleeping bags, ski wear, windbreakers, sofa cushions, soft toys, etc. enter the domestic and international markets. In particular, China, as a toy-producing country, has a large number of markets in more than 130 countries and regions abroad, so it has great demand for its filling materials.
Three-dimensional crimped fibers are used in large quantities as filling materials, not only because of their good elasticity, but more importantly because of the surface of a layer of chemically stable organic silicon films that are resistant to mold and bacteria, and are non-toxic. Most of the three-dimensional crimped fibers treated with imported silicone are used as floccules. Children in Europe and the United States like to use small animal toys such as puppies and kittens. These products are highly manual and are suitable for production in third-world countries with cheap labor.
At present, most of China's filling fibers are polyester three-dimensional crimped fibers, and polypropylene three-dimensional crimped fibers cannot be widely used due to its low compressive elasticity. However, due to its low cost and light weight, polypropylene three-dimensional crimped fibers can significantly reduce costs. The four-leaf hollow section has a high bending modulus, is resistant to compression, and is not as easy to collapse as a single hollow, and is an ideal cross-section for making a three-dimensional crimped fiber.
